found; however, when parallels are found, they usually generate fresh insights for old sayings. For example, there are “I have come” sayings as well as “the Son of Man has come” sayings. Are there textual, historical, redactional, or polemical factors which predominate in one of these types? Bultmann used the following categories for dominical sayings, most of which have proved both helpful and accurate:11 Logia: Jesus as the Teacher of Wisdom (69–108); Prophetic and Apocalyptic Sayings (108–30);
